My name is D’Cora D. Dotson, the proud owner of D’Cora’s Custom Cakes and Party Palooza’s Party Supply Store. I’m an Arkansas native, born and raised in Pine Bluff, and I graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 2007.
I started college at UAPB and SEARK, graduating from SEARK as an Emergency Medical Technician in 2010. After moving to Texas, I earned my Associate of Science in Business Administration from Central Texas College in 2012, then moved back home to finish my Bachelor of Business Administration at UALR in 2014 and my Master of Business Administration at Strayer University in 2018. I never knew my educational path was so craft-fully preparing my future.
Cooking has always been a joyful hobby, but baking is my passion. After a red, white, and blue rosette cake for the 4th of July in 2014, the requests poured in — and in 2016 I officially launched D’Cora’s Custom Cakes under the Arkansas cottage food laws. In 2018, I left my corporate job of 5 years, stepped out on faith, and went full-time. I’m so grateful for the love and support of my friends, family, and community.
